What do you mean by 1.33:1 letterbox? Letterbox is a term used for widescreen ratios.

My mistake. The back of the dvd case plainly states "4:3 letterbox". When I play the disc, the menus themselves are 1.33:1 non-anamorphic and the feature film seems to be in 16:9 ...
