I think it's worth noting that the UK release does not contain the remastered 2015 Blu-ray like the US one does. Instead, we've got the US UHD disc and the UK 2006 Blu-ray.

The entries underneath "Play by Character" are the clip compilations; the characters are different on each disc, and you only get clips that are also present on the current disc's main episodes. "Bonus Material", "Behind the Scenes", and "Play by Character" are separate menus.

Each option in "Play by Character" is simply a video clip made up of sections from the episodes.
The episodes themselves are made up of interviews with animated talking animal characters, and each "Play by Character" video consists of every scene with a particular character played one after the ...

It plays every interview from the disc with the same characters as one title. So "Muriel & Catherine", for example, simply plays all of the the sections with the two bats one after the other.
