Assassins (UK Blu) - A little slow at times, and wasn't keen on Julianne Moore in this one, but Stallone and Banderas have good chemistry that keeps it ticking. 6/10
One of my favs. 9/10
Tango and Cash (UK Blu) - Sly and Kurt Russell in what is an enjoyable little romp with some funny dialogue and entertaining action scenes. Far from the best both have been in, but this was a great team-up. Still time to make a second guys!
Terrible... 2/10

Today:

Demolition Man (UK Blu) - Possibly my favourite Sly movie, and it has held up incredibly well. Plenty of action, some hilarious one-liners, and the set designs are great - not to mention the cast gel together incredibly well. Got to love the three shells. 9/10

The Specialist (UK Blu) - Not sure why this one gets as much hate as it does. A great cast, and an enjoyable enough plot, even if it does have a few holes and could've been paced a bit better. I enjoyed it. 6/10

Madness in the Desert: The Paris to Dakar Rally (BBC iPlayer) - Cracking little documentary about the beginnings, and the history of, the Paris to Dakar rally. Many lives claimed, and many scary events with interviews with ex-rallyers. These people were crazy. 7/10

Short:

Lazy Teenage Superheroes (youtube) - Special effects are surprisingly good when you consider the likely budget, but the script could've done with tightening up and the cast were a bit hammy. 5/10
I work away a lot but I will reply to all PM's within a few days so please have patience!

Invasion (TV)
Spanish thriller about atrocities committed during war in Irak. I liked it - 7/10

Spring Breakers (TV)
Didn't really get into it even if there's good music and beautiful pictures... pretty pointless IMO - 5/10

I gave it a generous 6. I could see what Korinne was going for, but just couldn't quite get into it. Of course, I was then told I just 'didn't get it'. I did. It just wasn't what it was hyped up to be for me.

I absolutely hated it.
Samir: You know there's nothing wrong with that name.
Michael Bolton: There was nothing wrong with it... until I was about 12 years old and that no-talent ass clown became famous and started winning Grammys. (Office Space)

No inclination to watch it either. Perhaps (for those who "get it"), its the 2010s version of the Porky films...

It had very misleading marketing IMO. It's not even close to being in the same genre as Porkys! In fact, I can't even think what I would compare it to.

Oh, so there's no "promise of nudity and nubile bodies in softcore sexual whatevers"? At least, that's what I've always felt films like Porky's #, Nerds #, etc were an excuse for... And if I'm wrong about Porkys & co, that's the impression I got from the Spring Breakers trailer.

Well, yes, but it's no comedy, and as far from a teenage sex comedy as you could possibly get.

Agreed on that - no hint of comedy in the SB trailers.

ANY DAY NOW (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2066176) 4.5/10 - Ok direction (though a little cloying), average script (though somewhat one-sided), good performance by Alan, many recognisable faces, and something I don't think has been tackled before. Not cinematic, yet something different (at least, I haven't seen anything like it before).
My logarithmic scoring system (out of 10): 10 excellent, 8 very good, 6 good, 4 average, 2 poor, 1 atrocious.

The Gauntlet
Looks and sounds good on Blu.
The Quick and the Dead
I always had mixed feelings about this one.

Yesterday:

Rumble in the Bronx (UK Blu) - One of Jackie's better Hollywood movies. The usual great action sequences including the best ever fight scene using a ski. Cheesy in comparison to Police Story etc, but a lot of fun. Contrast levels on the Blu-ray are messed up though. 7/10

Episodes 4-10 of Boardwalk Empire: Season 2

The important question though: did you watch it in the original cantonese & uncut version, or the english (and shorter) dub? The original language version was quite good, but the english dub version took so much away from the film...

So from what I can see at http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=1761 , there is still no anamorphic 2.35:1 uncut cantonese DD 5.1 version? Or do any of your DVD versions have one as such?
