Re: Pacific Rim (Bluray ALL UK) ADDED
Chinese (Simplified) and Chinese (Traditional) are now listed. I don't know what "complex" is but it's probably another name for "traditional"?
Further more, is Cantonese listed as "Cantonese" when it comes to SUBTITLES?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantonese
These Asian audio/sub options can be very confusing. Usually Chinese SUBS are "Simplified" or "Traditional", but probably not always. When it comes to AUDIO, there are different names. Point is that when we talk about AUDIO options, it's a slightly different matter than when we talk about SUBS.
I have to Scandinavian release, so I can also double check the audio/subs (I believe they're identical). Also Vincent added those French releases (there was a minor mistake, I believe, since Castilian (Spanish) was listed as "Spanish (Spain)". Usually Spanish options are: Castilian and Spanish (AKA Latin?).
Some quick google info: http://www.translatorscafe.com/cafe/article84.htm
"Mandarin and Cantonese: They are two SPOKEN styles/dialects of Chinese language"
So I believe Cantonese can't be one of the subtitles. It's one of the AUDIO.

Re: Pacific Rim (Bluray ALL UK) ADDED
I can`t argue about Chinese language cos my knowledge of it is close to 0, but there is 3 Chinese subtitle tracks and cover lists them as - Cantonese , Complex Chinese, Simplified Chinese
Audio is only Mandarin 5.1
Audio is only Mandarin 5.1
Well from your link:Jari_Kovalainen wrote: Some quick google info: http://www.translatorscafe.com/cafe/article84.htm

This does indicate the possibility of 3 text versionsTo conclude:
The above information may sound a little bit complicated to non-Chinese speaking people. To make things simple, let’s put it this way:
For mainland readers, translate into Simplified Chinese text, mandarin style
For HK readers, translate into Traditional Chinese text, Cantonese style
For Taiwanese readers, translate into Traditional Chinese text, mandarin style

Well I can't really argue about Chinese language either, but I'll check my copy tonight. Stay tuned.

Yes, you're correct and Pacific Rim has three different subtitle streams of Chinese language. I have now added them as "Chinese (Simplified)", "Chinese (Traditional)" and plain "Chinese". I'll try to get some info about the 3rd one (meaning, that it would also help in the future).
The French track on the non-US releases is indeed 7.1.

Re: Pacific Rim (Bluray ALL UK) audio/subs
A little late to the topic, but yes, the 3 Chinese subtitle options should be "Cantonese" (Hong Kong), "Mandarin (Traditional)" (Taiwan), "Mandarin (Simplified)" (China)
The audio is correct (Mandarin Chinese Dolby 5.1)
But to add another thing, in the subtitle option where it says "Indonesian (Bahasa)", this should just be "Indonesian".
The word "Bahasa" is just the Indonesian word for "Language".
(So if you go to Indonesia and say to people, "Sorry, I don't speak Bahasa", it would technically mean you don't speak any language....)
