Disc is identical to the French steelbook edition. I'm not sure if this version has replaced the original release as the back cover doesn't mention the English mono track or many of the available subtitle/audio languages.

Yes it does, it also has the corrected "Riders of Doom" music and day-for-night filter seems to be intact. Although if you can specify the scenes which had the filter issues I can compare it to my DVD copy to double-check.

Also I just noticed it's incorrectly listed here as being released in 1981. The film's earliest release date according to IMDB was April 2nd 1982 in the UK and Sweden.


The specs for the Australian BD on blu-ray.com match the ones for the older European releases, and it was released around the same time as those. I'm guessing they've more recently changed the master to a port of the French release and the older pressings were probably the version with the music and filtering issues.

It is one sce around the 25 minute mark where Conan runs away from some wolves. That scene takes place at dusk and has a blue night filter over the picture (It's a day-for-night shot and on all Blu-Ray release except this one that filter was missing/forgotten and looks like daytime.

That scene has the same dark blue tint on both the DVD and this BD version so yes, this one is free of all previous issues. 100% identical to the newer French release

What is the barcode UPC number? There is a scan of the back cover at blu-ray.com. If your disc is different or not.

Same as the original. They've either replaced the master without changing anything else, or this was the original Australian release. The latter is unlikely since every other version released in 2011 was the same glitchy one and 20th Century Fox are very good at using the same master for every territory.

Cheers, just a couple of edits required - the version I have is a single-disc, just Conan the Barbarian. There was a double pack of Barbarian/Destroyer released in 2012, I'm not sure if that has the glitchy or fixed version of Barbarian though. The specs on the back of it are from the glitchy version though. Both that and the single-disc releases of both discs are all packaged in keep cases, not steelbooks.
