Just in case it's useful: very long discussion in German: http://forum.cinefacts.de/200899-la-bete-13.html
The DVD has supposedly better picture quality than the Cult Epics edition (less ghosting) (judging by runtime, the Cult Epics edition might be a PAL->NTSC port). But this one isn't English-friendly.
Some details are a bit hazy, but I hope I've got to the bottom of it all, and I hope the sources are good enough! And thanks to google translate!

Added them all!
Re: The Beast (1975) R2/B Germany ADDED
Cheers James! Is it worth mentioning that the Limited Editions really are limited? 500 copies for the DVD (individually numbered, according to the long German discussion), 1000 for the Blu-Ray (don't know if these are individually numbered as well).

Re: The Beast (1975) R2/B Germany ADDED
Thanks for the numbers, added those too.
I also did not add the runtime for the standard German DVD, as it could be an NTSC to PAL runtime or a film+trailer runtime, not being clear.
