- BBFC-imposed cuts: 'Compulsory cuts were made to remove scenes of unsimulated animal cruelty orchestrated by the film makers (in this case, a cockfight and sight of horses being deliberately tripped in a cruel fashion)'
- 59 secs of cuts according to the BBFC, presumably approx 56:38 with PAL speedup
ASIN:
- B00F1BKSVY
Notes:
- Second Sight's Blu-Ray is already in the db at http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=21476, looks like Disc Two is the same in both versions. The Blu-Ray comparison verdict has a lot of interesting info about versions, soundtracks, etc that I guess could be copied to the DVD comparison.
- The 20th Century Fox version had 74 secs cut, so it seems some cuts have been reinstated in the Second Sight version. http://www.melonfarmers.co.uk/hitsh_hb.htm#heavens_gate: 'However, the BBFC also decided that a couple of trips, in which horses were pulled backwards or sideways, were not clearly unacceptable and could well have been achieved without any cruelty. Accordingly, those two brief cuts were waived.'
