Not sure what the deal is with the running time difference. The french runs a bit faster, but both a shown as 1080p and both run at 25fps, could be a flagging issue. The only difference in the properties in MPC are standard PAL for the french one and standard NTSC for the german one. Not sure what that means since on blu-rays there is no pal/ntsc....
Both are uncut though

Oddest thing.
Both Powerdvd & mpc state both discs as 25fps...
You guess is as good as mine. If it was 24fps, the time difference would be about 4 minutes (maybe 3 since the film is so short) but definitely not 2 minutes. Playing them next to each other show that the french disc is faster.
Your call!

25fps is NOT 1080p. It is 1080i 50.

"Midnite Spares" on the German Blu-ray, what is the aspect ratio? Also, is it in 1080p? 1080i? PAL?
Also "Optional german subtitles for extended scenes" - what extended scenes?
On the main film, the English track is Dolby 5.1, correct?

Midnite Spares is not on Blu-Ray, but the bonus-dvd.
'''"Extras: All on disc 2 (DVD)'''
'''Bonus Movie "Midnite Spares" (German title "Car crash" No cuts 1:25:05 '''English Dolby Digital 1.0 160kbps,''' German Dolby Digital 1.0 160kbps, Optional german subtitles for extended scenes'''
I forgot the aspect ratio though. It's 1.85:1 non-anamorphic
English is mono as has been written, also the film was shot in mono.
Extended scenes are only relevant to german audiences as it was a bit trimmed in that country upon original release and the uncut scenes have never been dubbed, hence subtitles if wanted or watched in german.
This film is just that: A bonus feature. Besides being crappy, it hasn't been remastered and looks like a glorified vhs transfer, except it is in widescreen.
