Blu-ray wish list
I've been going through my DVD collection in recent years and culling them down when I replace the title with the BD copy, but sadly I've noticed a lot of my favorite films have not yet been released in any HD format. What movies do you wish where released on BD?
Here's my list:
The Abyss - how has this movie not been released in HD? What's the hold up Fox?
True Lies - same goes for this other James Cameron action classic.
Chicken Run - easily one of my favorite films from Peter Lord and Nick Park, why no HD?
Dreams - terrific film from the master Akira Kurosawa, this would be awesome on BD.
Punch-Drunk Love - seriously? Come on Sony how much longer do we have to wait for this in HD, PT Anderson's films are so beautifully shot this would be a nice addition to any library.
Hard Eight - speaking of PT Anderson, this one isn't available yet on BD...
What are your BD wishlist titles?

Michael Bolton: There was nothing wrong with it... until I was about 12 years old and that no-talent ass clown became famous and started winning Grammys. (Office Space)

Re: Blu-ray wish list
Isn't Punch-Drunk Love now rumoured (kind of unofficially confirmed through third party sources) to be with Criterion?
I can't be arsed selling those I've double/triple/even 6 x dipped on as value of used discs near me would fetch less than it would cost me in petrol to reverse out of my driveway! On the plus side, the market is ridiculously cheap to buy in though.
My most wanted on Blu-ray mainly consist of MGM's Soul Cinema releases, of which Arrow is releasing my favourite in a couple of weeks (Black Mama White Mama). TV is where Blu-ray is letting us down though. Been watching Borgen on Blu, and The West Wing on DVD and early seasons of TWW are non-anamorphic. My favourite show The Shield also needs released but I can't see it any time soon.

I work away a lot but I will reply to all PM's within a few days so please have patience!

Neither can I, I just trade them at a local shop here for something I want.Samuel_Scott wrote:I can't be arsed selling those I've double/triple/even 6 x dipped...
I'd love to see that on Blu too, such a great show.Samuel_Scott wrote:My favourite show The Shield also needs released but I can't see it any time soon.

Re: Blu-ray wish list
You can also add the Marvel TV shows to the list, I'd love a Blu-ray of Daredevil and Jessica Jones season 1, even though they are available on Netflix I'd like to see something with added content, commentaries, behind-the-scenes etc...

Re: Blu-ray wish list
on blu ray esp in the UK I would like to see
TRUE LIES - James Cameron's last good film
VIDOCQ - underrated French horror
FEMME FATALE - underrated De Palma's classic erotic thriller
BODU DOUBLE - I know there is an Aussie release out there but Arrow who recently have done themselves proud with other De Palma films would be great if they or any company could release
this brilliant film on blu ray

Re: Blu-ray wish list
Sitting at home and being sick sucks, but gives time to go trough old stuff.
Almost two years has passed but not much has changed. I have only got Bird on a Wire from Fabulous Films.
I know that Tough Guys has US release and 8MM Australian release, but nothing in Europe.
