Salt for Svanetia/Nail in the Boot DVD R2 Germany ADDED

Mikhail Kalatozov's early silent master-piece "Salt for Svanetia" has been released in Germany in a double-bill with its follow-up "Nail in the Boot", by the same director. Mind that the DVD is listed with the Russian original titles first and the German translations second. Those are: "Dzim Svante"/"Das Salz Svanetiens" and "Gvozd v sapoge"/"Nagel im Stiefel" - which might make it difficult for an English-language cinema lover to find them, despite the edition being English-friendly. (I myself have looked for a release of "Svanetia" for years and only stumbled over this edition by lucky chance, as obviously seach engines won't lead you there.) It might be best to list the movies under their internationally better-known English titles, but add a note that this edition uses the Russian original titles.

One final small correction so there will be no confusion: Having just watched "Salt for Svanetia", I have noticed that while the film runs for 62:53 minutes on the DVD as described above, the actual run-time of the edit is 61:51 - there is 01:02 min of black screen at the end to accomodate a choral epilogue on the Khotimski soundtrack, whereas the Buchwald score ends with the movie's actual run-time.
