You can't buy it - but equally, you might like to know what you're getting if you are thinking of ordering the player (not that it should form part of your decision)

I feel a little cheated actually, it's got 4K HDR plastered all over the disc, and it is proper HDR unlike the other 4K+Blu-Ray dual disc which has a 4K non-HDR version as far as I can see.

However, zero extras

Clearly, HDR 4K titles are going to be a sub-set of 4K titles. It would be nice to be able to search discretely for them, as well as for Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks

That one is 4K but extended, with HDR as well, but... WITH Atmos sound - if you're American.

So much for UHD discs having no Region coding to indicate that all versions will be equal around the world. Now I'll have to go back 15 years and start importing discs all over again!

UHD discs are region free. But they never said all discs will be identical throughout the world. Differing audio, subtitles, and also differing studios if the film is owned by different companies in various territories.

Also, a review on blu-ray.com on the US release says "HDR brings a new level of pop, nuance, accuracy, and depth to the palette.", so the transfer is identical.

ok - I see that Extended Edition does have HDR after all. The labelling compared to mine is pretty obvious! (Argh, forum settings won't let me subscribe to this thread or even post attachments)

However please would you make the HDR and non-HDR status much clearer than a tiny "Non-HDR transfer" note on one of them. It makes a massive difference to the picture, much more so than the resolution, and it belongs in the "picture" field or a new HDR yes/no field next to Picture. HDR blew my socks off when I first saw it. Biggest leap forward in TV for 30 years IMHO.

Question is which UHD BDs have non-HDR? Is it a significant ratio?
