Re: Fargo: Year Two (Australian Blu Ray)
I listed the framerate as 23.976 instead of just 24fps because this is technically the actual framerate. I chose to do this because most Blu Rays are encoded this way. The only discs I've seen that are encoded at exactly 24fps are made in Australia and some European Countries.
I hope that in the future this can be specified in the comparisons because whenever I've played a disc that is encoded at exactly 24fps I have a framerate issue where every so often the image seems to skip a frame, sort of similar to the NTSC pulldown issue found on DVDs although not as frequent.
As a result of this I try to avoid any BD that is encoded this way. The only way to fix the problem is to set my player to not output at 24Hz.
My player is an OPPO BDP-103AU and my display is a Panasonic Viera P55VT60A.

Re: Fargo: Year Two (Australian Blu Ray)
Hi Andrew,
Currently we have all 1080p discs listed as "1080p 24fps" while technically the 23.976fps framerate discs were just rounded up to 24fps to make things easier.
At this point we have thousands of discs in our system and to check each and change all will take an extremely long time - and in some cases hard to find the information unless the disc is in hand and the person has capability of seeing the info.
We will take it into consideration about future releases and how to handle 24fps vs 23.976fps listings.

Hi James,
Thanks for your reply. I hope you didn't think I was suggesting that all current entries be modified, that would obviously be a huge undertaking and probably would not be of much importance to most people. I've tried googling this problem and I've only ever found one person other than myself that seemed to experience it, so perhaps it's just my setup that is the problem.
If in the future you decided that having the option to differentiate between the two frame rates would be helpful to some people then that would be very much appreciated.
Thanks for everyone's hard work on this site, it's an invaluable source of information for consumers trying to make an informed decision.
