The Departed - Aussie BD request ADDED

After some discussion with various members on the Australian forum on blu-ray.com I've confirmed that the Platinum Collection release of The Departed uses the same master as the original release, with PCM audio. The back cover incorrectly states Dolby Digital only but the disc itself is confirmed as having PCM.

Trying to understand what's going on.

So, the first Australian release was identical to the US release, then later reissued but changed to being identical with the German release, and now there's a "Platinum" edition? What are the audio and subtitle options on this new release?

The Platinum Collection is the latest edition, from 2011. Audio is English PCM and DD 5.1, optional English and German subtitles. Same VC-1 video encode and same extras. So it's a different master to both previous editions, it seems they've added the PCM track to the existing German master.

Not according to the entry on the blu-ray.com site. I don't have a copy of the disc myself, but I can PM the guy who confirmed the PCM track on that version to double-check.

Haven't been able to get a definite answer on the German dub, it's almost certainly not on this disc though. I'll try to locate a copy of the disc to confirm anyway.

Maybe move this to Comparison Requests, I'm basically stuck for confirmation on the German audio issue (I highly doubt it's on there but ya never know), and I'm not exactly going to go out of my way to double-up on this just for that reason.

Confirmed as thus:

English audio only - LPCM and Dolby Digital 5.1

English and German optional subtitles. All other specs are the same as the first two releases.
