John Wick Chapter 2 (Aussie RB Blu-ray) DONE
Per the entry...

We can add the Australian Blu-ray from Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Although authored locally, as evidenced by the copyright PSA that runs on start-up, the content and specs of the disc are identical to the UK All Region disc from Warner. And that means right down to the UK cuts for classification, although the film was passed uncut with an MA15+ here on original cinema release. See below...

Mind boggling that a film passed uncut from the Aussie censor for cinemas should make its way to home video in a cut form, due to masters sourced, but that's what we often expect down here of our lazy distributors...

Seems strange for Universal Sony to release a Warner authored disc in another country. Did they swap the Warner logo eith the Universal?
If you have the disc, it would be best to list out the specs, please.

Re: John Wick Chapter 2 (Aussie RB Blu-ray)
Studio Canal is actually behind this release, Universal is just the distributor. For some reason eOne had the cinema rights and only bothered to release it - heavily delayed, of course - after receiving an influx of complaints. Then Studio Canal picked up the home video rights and obviously sourced the master from the UK since Lionsgate always makes sure non-US releases of their titles licensed to competing distributors have inferior soundtracks, and thus the US master would have been unavailable to them. Ironically enough, if Warner Bros was releasing it here it would be through Roadshow, who released the first one...

Thanks MC. The specs are verified from your personal disc, I assume?

They certainly are - I can provide my purchase receipt, if required (?). Hence why I posted in the first place; in an effort to assist prospective local (or international) buyers by pointing out the previously uncut (cinema) film is now cut on Blu-ray. Always a pleasure to jump thru hoops when no-one believes me, though...James-Masaki_Ryan wrote:Thanks MC. The specs are verified from your personal disc, I assume?

It's that you put this up in the "Comparison Requests" area, so I thought you were asking if anyone had the disc could confirm the specs. If you are submitting specs for a new entry, you should enter at "Your Comparisons".
Adeed, thank you!
