There is no need to mentions specifically for this one edition that the subtitles are “optional”. In the entries, subtitles are always optional by default. After all, forced subtitles are rather rare, especially on Scandinavian Blu-rays.

We're trying to write (optional) when it is confirmed optional for foreign language subtitles.
If an English movie has English subtitles, we do not write (optional) since it is fairly assumed that the English HoH subtitles are optional.
There are the rare exceptions such as The UK DVD of "Notes on Blindness" which has burned-in English subtitles for the English language movie, and we label (burned-in) or (forced) depending on the subtitles used.

If it is an English language film released in another country then we would like to label if the local language subtitles are optional, forced, or burned-in. If we cannot confirm, such as when a review doesn't state so, we leave it as blank.
