There are numerous errors in the BD listings:
US BD:
Has start-up trailers: The Lost Tribe (2009) (1:27), Bangkok Adrenaline (2009) (1:47), Damned by Dawn (2009) (1:30)
Runtime is 87:13 and 24 fps not 25, as currently stated in the footnotes. Strangely, it's still listed correctly as 1080p, when 25 fps would be 1080i.
Scandinavian BD:
The audio commentary is by Torsten Metalstein Hvas (co-story writer) and Sjón Sigurdsson (co-story and scriptwriter).
The aspect ratio is 2.35:1.
There is no 2.0 stereo track: two 5.1s only.
One of the trailers is mis-spelled: it's Sauna.
All extras (everything!) are in English with no subs.
Could the German BD's stats be inaccurate too? It's the only one I don't own. Are all the DVD stats confirmed as correct; is the AR for the Icelandic DVD confirmed? It's odd that the only release from the film's native country is also apparently the only one to get it wrong.
The BD and DVD footnotes should reflect the fact that around two thirds of the film's dialogue is in English, with the rest being Icelandic or Japanese. Unless fluent in all three languages, buyers are restricted to their natively-subbed releases. In other words, if you only speak English then the Euro BDs are no good.

I don't believe that OFDb listing for a minute. It states it's both 1.85:1 and 16:9 - so which is it? I think neither. The Iceland DVD spec on Fantasy Filmfest Collector says "2.35:1 (Cinemascope)".
I see the film's also been released on BD/DVD in France (ASINs B00GY4I0OO/B00GY52LO8)

Annoyingly, many companies say 16:9 just to signify an anamorphic transfer. So many releases with covers that state 2.35:1 16:9 it isn't even funny.Brent_Reid wrote:It states it's both 1.85:1 and 16:9

Yeah, I know, and OFDb has a ton of useful info but ultimately, for the purposes of this site, I'd consider it about as reliable as IMDb.
