Hi guys.
Would anyone be able to do an updated comparison for Condorman?
Based on what I can see (US, UK and AUSTRALIA only):
- US = 2 releases: a 1999 Anchor Bay release and 2008 "Disney Movie Club" release, with the latter being "presented in its theatrical 2.35:1 widescreen format but it is NOT anamorphic". Based on reviews elsewhere (eg. http://www.digitallyobsessed.com/displa ... php?ID=305), the Anchor bay release is also widescreen and not anamorphic, but also has a Pan and Scan version on the flip-side of the disc.
- UK = Released in 2006 but has VHS picture quality as well as being a poor representation of what widescreen should be, and suffers from sound issues.
- Australia = Released in 2010 and is widescreen, but that's all I can find about it.
Seems that the US releases are both fine, and the UK is to be avoided. Would love to know about the Australian release, if anyone has it.

Re: Condorman DONE
Hi Jason,
seems the Disney US release is pretty much the same as the Anchor Bay release but without the 4:3 version included (widescreen is non-anamorphic). Unfortunately I could not find accurate specs anywhere, just bits of discussion.
Australian release added. It is the same disc as the German release.
Thanks,
Sam

Thanks, Sam!
Based on the Amazon reviews, the German release suffers from the same low quality transfer as the UK version, thus the Australian R4 release would be the same. Shame.
R1 it is then!

I would assume they are all from the same master, unfortunately.

Re: Condorman DONE
It is a shame. I saw this film at least twice at the cinema as a kid and haven't seen it since. Would love to again, for old time's sake, and would've picked it up years ago if the DVDs weren't so crap. Perhaps I should bite the bullet and buy one, just so the following week they can announce it for Blu-ray!
