Not necessary. Link already leads to a main page for the title. Not worth updating the entire page for that.

Skin Game said "America" which is fixed now, but the other two say UK. Maybe someone else corrected them?

On the same disc, Waltzes actually runs for 76:45 and Downhill for 82:07, not quite as listed. Also, it has an orchestral score, not piano - my mistake!

Waltzes on the UK Network DVD actually runs for 76:44. Its photo gallery is 2:06 and has 39 images.

Fixed DVD pages.

Juno and the Paycock the UK DVD runs shorter than France. Do you know the reason?

Blimey, that was quick work, guys!

Could you remove this footnote from the Murder! and Mary comparisons please, as I split them off into their own expanded article, linked in the generic footnote:
Information on "Murder!" and the alternate German version "Mary" can be found at Brenton Film's Multiple-Language Version Films: The Ultimate Buyer’s Guide.

In the Mary comparison, the German DVD's hyperlinked "Murder!" links to the home page.

Re Juno and the Paycock, there's a note under my comparison.

Thanks, James.

This still needs correcting: In the Mary comparison, the German DVD's hyperlinked "Murder!" goes to the home page.

Kino's Blackmail BD has some faults that are not currently mentioned in the comparison. The sound version should have a 1.20:1 AR, but on disc 1 it's mistakenly stretched to 1.33:1. Disc 2 was added to correct this but is also wrong, being squashed to 1.12:1. I've detailed it fully here: https://www.brentonfilm.com/articles/al ... kmail-1929.
Also in the BD comparison, "Orchestra" is misspelled.

Blackmail DVD comparison:
The French needs noting that it's the sound version and is 1.14:1 AR.
The German and Spanish ARs should read: 1.14:1 (sound) and 1.33:1 (silent)
The UK needs noting that it's the sound version and is 1.14:1 AR.

Waltzes from Vienna needs the generic footnote  adding. It's also well worth adding a note about the two transfers, as one is fully restored and the other looks like crap. Please see the screenshots in my article: https://www.brentonfilm.com/articles/al ... ienna-1934

Cheers Eric. :)

Though you've added the useful AR notes, the German DVD's "Aspect Ratio" section still says "1.11:1/1.33:1", while the identical Spanish DVD only states the latter ratio. I know it's confusing noting all these accurately, but we're almost there!

BTW, I've expanded my article again and split it in two. Plus, I've had some new info come in; keep an eye on the comments section!

I don't know what you're looking at but the Blackmail page says 1.14:1/1.33:1, not 1.11:1, and they are identical on the German and Spanish listings.

Ha - I'll tell you what I was looking at: the page before some helpful soul sneaked in and corrected it! I should have took a screenshot... except all that matters is it's done. :)

This is still outstanding though:

I put off responding about the changes until I finished the Blackmail review, and then I just forgot.

No worries, Eric, but I really don't need your help to make me look foolish - I already do a pretty good job all by myself!

Thank you. The main footnote currently says: Only minor language differences, though note the UK release has a gallery extra.
Surely it's worth saying for the film itself the French wins for being fully restored, as opposed to the battered UK transfer?
These two are also the only official releases to date.

We don't choose winners according to transfers.

There are a few bootlegs scattered about the above listings. I won't try and convince you of all of them, but I see the German "Great Movies" Notorious BD was recently added. I've written about this company, and it explains why the BD is edited too.

Quick work - thanks! More...

The four MGM/Disney-controlled titles have been issued three times in the UK (exact same disc, different label art and sleeve) by the same parent company.
They're also in three repackaged/reissued box sets. But the first (PT Video) DVDs were not issued separately.

Rebecca
2000 PT Video: no separate Amazon listing (rear sleeve). In the "David O. Selznick/Alfred Hitchcock Collection" containing "Rebecca", "Spellbound", Notorious" and "The Paradin Case": ASIN B00005NI8Q
2004 Prism Leisure/Fremantle: B00004YN5Y (rear sleeve). Also in the "Alfred Hitchcock Box Set" containing "Rebecca", "Spellbound", Notorious" and "The Paradin Case": ASIN B000BTJ3ZS
2007: Fremantle: B000ZYL9CY (rear sleeve). Also in the "Hitchcock Collection" containing "Rebecca", "Spellbound", Notorious" and "The Paradin Case": ASIN B00IGRO3ZM

Spellbound
2000 PT Video: no separate Amazon listing. In the first collection above.
2004 Prism Leisure/Fremantle: B00004YN60. In the second collection above.
2007: Fremantle: B0010KG2S8. In the third collection above.

Notorious
2000 PT Video: no separate Amazon listing. In the first collection above.
2004 Prism Leisure/Fremantle: B00004YN5Z. In the second collection above.
2007: Fremantle: B0010KG2R4. In the third collection above.

The Paradine Case
2000 PT Video: no separate Amazon listing. In the first collection above.
2004 Prism Leisure/Fremantle: B000CQ97V0. In the second collection above.
2007: Fremantle: B00004YN61. In the third collection above.

Let's try a simpler (I hope!) version of the corrections in my last post; first Rebecca:

The currently listed UK "Prism Direct/Leisure" and PT Video discs are identical. Just the label art and sleeve vary.

"Prism Direct/Leisure" needs correcting to "Prism Leisure/Fremantle" (rear sleeve). Fremantle was for a time known as FremantleMedia.

The 2000 PT Video DVD (rear sleeve) has no separate release and needs this note:
  • Only in the "David O. Selznick/Alfred Hitchcock Collection" containing "Rebecca", "Spellbound", Notorious" and "The Paradine Case". (ASIN B00005NI8Q)
2004 Prism Leisure/Fremantle DVD ASIN: B00004YN5Y. Add this note:
  • Also in the "Alfred Hitchcock Box Set" containing "Rebecca", "Spellbound", Notorious" and "The Paradine Case". (ASIN B000BTJ3ZS)
They were issued a third time in 2007 by Freemantle (rear sleeve), which needs a new, separate listing (ASIN: B000ZYL9CY). Add this note:
  • Also in the "Hitchcock Collection" containing "Rebecca", "Spellbound", Notorious" and "The Paradine Case". (ASIN B00IGRO3ZM)
As per usual form, Caps-a-holic have recently deleted their DVD comparison, so the link needs removing.

This covers all the UK Rebecca releases to date.

Great! Next, Spellbound:

PT Video DVD - add Amazon link to note and replace current ad.
  • Only in the "David O. Selznick/Alfred Hitchcock Collection" containing "Rebecca", "Spellbound", Notorious" and "The Paradine Case". (ASIN B00005NI8Q)
