The Emerald Forest (1985) BD UPDATED
The Kino disc is in mono instead of original stereo, unlike the DVDs. And there are no separate subs for the native dialogue, only that for all native and English speech together, also unlike the DVDs. More on this:

Re: The Emerald Forest (1985) BD UPDATED
Thanks, James. I'm afraid I wasn't specific enough though, so I'll clarify:
The film is mostly in English, but with some additional dialogue. All the BD and DVD soundtracks should be amended to "English, Portuguese and native Amazonian".
The Kino BD is faulty in only having English subs for all dialogue (and not being in original stereo). There is no option to watch the film only with subs for the non-English portions.
I obviously don't own them all to check, but it's my understanding that the German BD and all DVDs have either burned-in subs for the non-English portions or, as with the US MGM, a "None" option which still has subs for the non-English.
I hope that clears things up!

Where does it say the Kino has English for all dialogue? The subtitle stream is very small on the Kino. It suggests there are subtitles only for the non-English dialogue.

Also the DVDTalk review suggests the mix is stereo and they mention

The movie's non-English spoken segments are done with optional (not burned-in) subtitles. No other subtitle or audio options are included on the disc.

Hmm. I can find only one source for the subs, so let's leave that one for now. In fact, I swore off the US BD because of that, but now I'll take a chance on it. Likewise with the mono: it's mentioned a few times on pages two and three of the first link, but no one appears to have actually applied the Pro Logic test.
Close this thread for now and I'll post anew when I've checked the BD for myself. All the soundtrack listings still need amending though!

Added Portuguese to the English audio.
