I can shed light on how to access the Easter Egg on the Mission to Mars 2-disc Platinum Edition German DVD (http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=437).
On disc one, leave the disc playing after the end credits. After a while a text screen will appear allowing the selection of a humorous "alternate ending" and the DVD credits.

Well that's not an easy question, it starts replaying the last chapter then branches to a variation of the last chapter. Perhaps 2:21 for the branching version that includes the DVD credits (which play after the alternative ending) although not all of that is new?
