Zombie Holocaust (1980) - Shriek Show DVD and Blu-ray + DVD

Zombie Holocaust (1980) - Media Blasters/Shriek Show Blu-ray + DVD

Initial notes:

1. There are multiple corrections/additions required, so I have decided to lay it out in the same way as with new submissions.

2. Currently listed is a Shriek Show Blu-ray only release, but as far as I am aware they have only released it in 2 forms: a DVD only and a 2 disc Blu-ray + DVD set.

3. I believe the DVD in the Blu-ray + DVD set is the same as the DVD only, but the Blu-ray + DVD set does not include the booklet that came with the DVD only release. The Blu-ray extra "A Trip to the Doctor..." scrolling text essay might have the same content as the booklet that comes with the DVD only release, but I can't confirm this.

4. The Blu-ray and the DVD have similar but slightly different extras.

5. I have reordered the extra features to reflect the orders in the onscreen menus.

6. The 2 DVD extras "Zombie Art Gallery" + "Roy Frumkes Personal Photos" have similar but somewhat different content to the 2 Blu-ray extras: "Still & Poster gallery" + "US Pressbook".

7. according to IMDb, Roy Frumkes DID NOT direct "Street Trash", but he did write and produce it. I have amended the entries below to reflect this.

Thanks James - excellent idea using asterisks for the extras that play automatically.

A few points:

1. The German trailers (on both discs on the Blu-ray + DVD) need to be marked as being in German, otherwise the note: "All extras are in English except where stated otherwise" won't be true.

2. There are different opening and closing credits on the Blu-ray versus the DVD:

Print on Blu-ray uses English opening and closing credits.
Print on DVD uses Italian opening and closing credits.

3. On the DVD page, in the CUTS section at the bottom it currently erroneously states the R1 Media Blasters DVD is PAL - it isn't, it's NTSC. Judging by the runtime of the Australian release, I expect it is either an NTSC->PAL conversion, or it is in fact also NTSC - but I have no way to check this.

4. I forgot to check this before, but I've just realised the Media Blasters DVD plays at 60Hz only - which I assume means it's a non-progressive transfer. This will be for the DVD only and also the DVD of the Blu-ray + DVD.

If it says "German" it's in German. Why would it be another language? It seems redundant saying "German Trailer in German"

I thought you might say that about the German trailers - I know it sounds redundant, but on the other hand, I think I've seen foreign trailers for some movies with English dubbing, although I can't think of any examples right now. Up to you anyway. Everything else looks good :-D
