Title: Christian Frei 4 Disc Collection -> I listed them as four different releases because there are so many exceptions with every release and I guess that all four releases are also available seperately but I dont have them as individual releases. All discs have the Warner Bros logo at the beginning. As a side note, I think those 4 documentaries are must seen films. Defenitely worth a watch. Or if one has not the time, at least "War Photographer" (was nominated for an Oscar). All releases are English friendly.

Only if you choose Spanish you get the forced Spanish subtitles for the theatrical cut which is in English. Also, if you choose English, you get forced English subtitles for foreign languages (like when they visit Al Jazeera and the journalists there speak Arabic). Only if you choose French or Italian you get the movie in French or Italian audio (and both are only for the tv cut, there is no theatrical version for those languages). There are no German subtitles for the movies. The Extras have only the subtitles I noted in the Extras section. The four movies are in a sturdy hardened cardboard box. Every movie has a one page description of the contents in English, French, German.

Re: DVD - Switzerland - Christian Frei Collection (4 Films)
For "The Giant Buddahs", is the German track dubbing everything in German?
(Also, just to say "Afghan" is not a language!)
Or is "Die Rückkehr der Buddhas - Film Premiere in Bamiyan" the full title?
For War Photographer
(Also, just to say "Afghan" is not a language!)
Die Rückkehr der Buddhas and Film Premiere in Bamiyan are two featurettes, played together?Die Rückkehr der Buddhas (in English: The Return of the Buddhas - this is not translated in the menu, always in German)- Film Premiere in Bamiyan (German, optional English subtitles) (9:39)
Or is "Die Rückkehr der Buddhas - Film Premiere in Bamiyan" the full title?
For War Photographer
Are the English and German subtitles for the who film or for the non-English/non-German parts only?Subtitles (optional): English, French, German, Italian, Spanish

Yeah sorry for the Afghan mistake
. Maybe Pashto or Dari was spoken.
To the Buddhas: No, there are for example French parts with an archeologist.
"Die Rückkehr der Buddhas - Film Premiere in Bamiyan" is the full title.
War Photographer:
Subtitles in English only for German audio and vice versa.

Re: DVD - Switzerland - Christian Frei Collection (4 Films)
So the German track for "The Giant Buddahs" dubs the English parts to German, and all other portions are in their original languages (like French, Arabic, Dari), but there are no German subtitles for those portions?

No, there are forced German subtitles for all parts with foreign languages: English, Dari, French, Arabic etc. Made a mistake in the first entry.
