Naked City (1948) BD UPDATED
Does anyone know if the Jules Dassin at LACMA featurette is definitely 10 minutes longer on the Arrow than Criterion's discs? If so, what's been chopped? It's also perhaps worth mentioning it in the footnotes, along with the fact the Criterion BD has a new 4K restoration.

Re: Naked City (1948) BD
Thanks for chipping in, Anthony. I saw those and while I'm not disputing them, I thought the good folks around here tend to be more thorough.
Reviewers often don't even examine releases and just trust the sleeve notes.
Did you notice that Beaver says of the Eureka: "Jules Dassin at LACMA a 40-minute interview... (52:01)"?! It's not a copy/paste error either, as it's not phrased anything like that on the others.

It is a copy paste from Arrow's press release. No idea what extra footage is available, since I only have the Criterion. The footage was in a horribly shot angle and with bad sound on the Criterion. Not sure how different it is on the UK. Updated with "4k restoration".Brent_Reid wrote: Did you notice that Beaver says of the Eureka: "Jules Dassin at LACMA a 40-minute interview... (52:01)"?! Thanks, James. Thought it was about time I got this on BD and was all ready to pick up the Eureka, when up pops the pricey but much-improved Criterion. I prefer the Eureka package overall though. Would be happy enough to get the restoration on a cheap Euro release, if it happens. I see it was legitimately released in Spain just this January but assume it's the old transfer.
