The Splendid Blu-ray is an upscale (same master as Kam & Ronson).
I believe 88 Films is the overall winner because it has a new 4K transfer.

All done!
While I do agree the UK would be the winner is terms of picture quality, we don't based the winner based on the transfer (we can state if a certain release has an inferior or a 1080i transfer though).

Thanks for updating, Anthony! Could the genuine HD also be mentioned in the overall section? I think it's important.
I would also mention that the 88 Films release has newly translated subtitles based on the Cantonese soundtrack (the others might contain errors or be based on the Mandarin). Disclosure: I made them with the help of a friend.
On a friendly note: I don't know if there's a policy somewhere regarding the criteria for the Overall section, but I've sometimes disagreed with the conclusions. I know perceptions of quality can be subjective (e.g. bad encode vs unrestored), though I remain wary about basing it purely on specification alone (might be what's happening here). I understand extras can be a factor, though I'm on the fence about the audio because I don't think having the highest quantity of channels automatically means you'll get the best quality (especially for an older film with limited elements to produce the mix with); what's more, it might be a non-original mix (I know of terrible ones which feature alterations. See this: http://backyard-asia.blogspot.com/2011/ ... m.html?m=1).
A list was compiled of Hong Kong titles on Blu-ray (some subjective, yes, but it can still help): https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=272146
