Also [not "Only"] available in "Alfred Hitchcock: The British Years" box set... ASIN: B00113NWUK

US BD: Some initial pressings have developed playback faults. Later pressings, including those in the box set, are not affected. For a disc replacement, email: mulvaney@criterion.com

UK BD: Charles Barr is a film historian, not a critic!

BD: Also issued in France by ESC Editions.

Caps: https://caps-a-holic.com/c_list.php?c=846 (old link is at bottom of BD page).

The "General cut note" is copied directly from the Hitchcock Wiki, overly complex and refers to bootlegs as much as the Criterion. Simply replace with: The original Criterion is missing a six-second shot of a maid bending over.
And replace the cut note, "Yes, a very brief moment is missing" with, "Yes, six seconds are missing."

New DVD footnote:
Note that this film and other early Alfred Hitchcock titles have been released in many bootleg editions. Supposedly "public domain" releases by companies such as Avenue One, Brentwood, Diamond Entertainment, Digiview, Laserlight, Mill Creek, Passion Productions, St. Clair Vision, Sonart, Westlake, Whirlwind and others should be avoided. Information regarding the copyright status of his films can be found at Brenton Film's Alfred Hitchcock: Dial © for Copyright. Hitchcock's films and their official releases are also covered in detail at Brenton Film's Alfred Hitchcock Collectors' Guide.

New BD footnote:
Note that this film and other early Alfred Hitchcock titles have been released in many bootleg editions, and these unlicensed, supposedly "public domain" releases should all be avoided. Information regarding the copyright status of his films can be found at Brenton Film's Alfred Hitchcock: Dial © for Copyright. Hitchcock's films and their official releases are also covered in detail at Brenton Film's Alfred Hitchcock Collectors' Guide.

Cheers James. A few minor corrections:

In the French TF1 DVD box set notes, "Young and Innocent" is incorrectly written as "The Young and Innocent". It's also written that way on all the other films bar "The 39 Steps".

Dunno if you meant to omit mention of Criterion's Essential Art House book but in other entries it's written as 'Only available in the 50 film “Essential Art House: 50 Years of Janus Films” set with a 240 page book.'

The Network DVD is in a keep case.

If you want to link Criterion's "Wrong Men & Notorious Women: Five Hitchcock Thrillers" box set, its ASIN is B00008OM70.

Hi James, just noticed two more points:

Criterion's "Mystery Train" video essay by film scholar Leonard Leff has two different titles on the DVD/BD comparisons.

Dunno if it's worthy of mention in the comparison but Criterion's reissue DVD has had parts of its audio commentary corrected and updated. See this forum post. I detail it in my guide as well.
