AR is the same both sides, as is the PAL standard. No extras but the same five video adverts are repeated both sides, which is why it literally looks like two separate, single-layer discs back-to-back on a DVD-10.

These are the only licensed releases for this film anywhere but there are a lot of DVD-R bootlegs, often of the shorter US cut titled The Inheritance.

I assume 2.0? Could you fix this?

Are these just stills?

Could you give the full specs for the other film?

1. Obviously - fixed!

2. No, they're like TV adverts, each lasting a few minutes. Some advertise a small range of DVDs, some dozens at a time and go on for nearly 10 minutes. They're completely in Greek and very ill-conceived all round. They're basically someone narrating the titles and casts of a never-ending slideshow of DVD covers, with the odd brief video clip thrown in. The worst, most boring such ads I've ever seen! Believe me when I say there is no value whatsoever in detailing them, even for a native speaker of the language.

3. All the specs are there! What are you missing? Like As with Uncle Silas, I assume it's also the standalone DVD master reproduced on one side of the flipper disc. It actually looks like quite an entertaining film but I don't know enough Greek to be able to follow it conversationally. I plan to pick up the standalone disc to see if it has English subs after all and they were just somehow 'lost' during the flipper's mastering.

Aspect ratio, anamorphic or not, PAL or NTSC, extras if there are any.

It would be useful if you could post and fix all that in the first post for reference, including changing 2.9 to 2.0

I fixed one "2.9" but overlooked the other. They're both fixed now and I copied my last comment in too. :)

Good question! The paper was the Επενδυτής (Investor - no article). I didn't mention it as it stopped publishing in 2013; however, I just discovered it was resurrected last August. They gave away a lot of free DVDs and as far as I can tell theirs are all legit, whereas from most other papers they aren't.

BTW, in this case, Silas is licensed from Granada Ventures, which from 2005–2006 was the name of what is now ITV Studios.

Thanks James. I know it's often tricky to be understood when communicating solely by the written word but your patience and perseverance is much appreciated!
