The Swan [USA] [Warner Archive] UPDATED
Runtime is 108:07, not 107:56. Audio is 2.0 stereo, not 1.0 mono. Picture is anamorphic, not non-anamorphic.

Again, the review here says mono.
Can you confirm this is a stereo mix?

Yes. Why else would I have made this post?
It has two channels, and playing it in ProLogic mode results in audio, including dialogue, coming from the rears.

But is there actual stereo separation? Specifically for music cues having left and right separation, characters on the left side of the frame having dialogue from the left speaker, etc? Does the packaging state "Stereo" on the back?

There are two channels.
It does not collapse into the centre speaker with Dolby Pro Logic enabled.
It i a 2.0 stereo mix.

"The Swan" had 4 channel surround for capable theaters, and looking at the specs of the Warner Archive Japan DVD, it has an English 5.1 mix. The US release is only 2 channels and not 5.1?

It's two channels. Dialogue kicks to the rears when in Pro Logic, which implies it's not a 2.0 surround mix.
Are you sure these Japanese specs are correct? I actually physically have both discs here with me, so I'd believe me over anything posted online.

The Japanese specs come from the back cover, so we can't confirm if it's correct or not.
But it does seem like a mono mix being incorrectly balanced in the left and right channels, leading to an unbalanced track. Labeled as "stereo" but with a note.
