Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1972) DVD UPDATED

The following DVD releases for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1972) are bootlegs and should have their entries removed:

1. R0 America - Digicom TV (bootleg of R0 Spain Divisa 2010 DVD, cropped to 1.77:1 from 1.78:1)
2. R0 America - Brentwood (bootleg of R0 USA Platinum Disc DVD with the opening and ending Platinum Disc logos removed)
3. R0 America - Osiris (bootleg of an analog videotape)
4. R0 America - Direct Source (same as Brentwood, but with 5.1 mono sound)
5. R0 America - Reel Vault (bootleg of non-anamorphic Oracle DVDs, slowed down to NTSC speed with gamma corrected and cropped and resized to be anamorphic)

This is because, even though the film fell into the public domain in the USA in 1985, the copyright was renewed in 2001 by Screen Media Ventures. This means that the only official USA DVD releases since 2001 are two R1 DVDs (from 2004 and 2010) by Screen Media.

The following general notes should be added:
"This film has been copyrighted everywhere in the world except in the US, where it fell into the public domain from 1985-2000. Afterward, the rights were renewed in 2001 by Screen Media Ventures.

WARNING: There are a large number of pirated, supposedly public domain 'budget' releases of this film, released in the US after 2001, such as by Brentwood, Digicom TV, Direct Source, Dollar DVD, Osiris, Reel Vault, and others. Avoid them all, as they are barebones or have awful transfers."

The YouTube user "Curiouser Archive" had uploaded the full movie to YouTube, but took that video down because Screen Media sent them a cease and desist, according to a reply to a comment on their YouTube video of an 8K print scan of the 1973 "Moviemakers in Wonderland" featurette about the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAO5CEYo8PA

Only the American ones listed (except for the Platinum Disc DVD, which is from 1999) are bootlegs. The rest are official.

The RadioZET release was a promo DVD that came with an issue of a Polish magazine.

The only official USA DVDs since 2001 are by Screen Media, from 2004 and 2010.
