It has the Blu-ray logo on the case and on the disc, which generally isn't allowed for BD-R AFAIK, but it does appear to be burned.

Edited my first post to mention there are also English HoH subs, although the Blu-ray menu simply has "English Subtitles: On/Off" as an option so I'm not sure how selecting them works.

How did you then find this out if that's the only option on the menu?

I ripped the disc.

Being an English-region release, it's possible the dialog subs are on regardless of the setting, and the setting toggles the HoH subs. Weird that it's not clearly stated on the menu though. My computer is being weird so I can't check at the moment.

Yes I did. I back all my media up onto an Emby server. I use DVD Compare to help me pick out which extras are which, what the audio tracks are, etc etc when ripping, if something isn't listed I write it up.

I checked, and the subtitles default to On, which is subtitles only for the non-English dialog. Off disables subs entirely. The HoH track appears to be impossible to access via the Blu-ray menu, but it's on the disc so it can be enabled via the player menu.

Well, if the English HoH are none accessible on the menu. That may mean they're for signs and text when the subtitles are off. Please check.

I've ripped the disc and looked at the actual subtitle files - including OCRing them to create SRTs. I know for a fact that they're HoH subs.
