Also, you were able to confirm the standard blu-ray is region free?

I double checked the Blu-ray: It is Region B locked! (settings with A and C won't work). The disc is mistakenly labeled as Region ALL...

And yes, the UHD also has English subtitles for the non-English portions and the subtitles are optional.
