Monty Python's The Meaning of Life AKA The Meaning of Life (1983)
R2 Scandinavia - Universal Pictures
Special Edition
Soundtrack(s):English DTS 5.1 (754 kbps), English Dolby Digital 5.1 (384 kbps)
Notes: When you choose 'The Director's Cut' from the menu it plays the movie in Dolby Digital 5.1. And you can't change the audio track when the movie is playing. But there's a way to experience the Director's Cut in DTS 5.1: In the main menu go to "settings" and select "English DTS" as the audio track. After selecting it you'll see the DTS audio trailer and after that the theatrical version of the movie begins. When the movie is playing press the "pop up / menu" button of your remote control to get to the main menu. Then select "extras" and after that select "Director's Cut". After that the Director's Cut version starts from the beginning with DTS 5.1 as the soundtrack (even in the extra Director's Cut -scenes are in DTS).

Some really extensive extra info about the Scandinavian release that will probably work with other releases as well.

If you select DTS 5.1 from the languages menu, then start the director's cut, does it not play the film in DTS 5.1?

When you select DTS from the menu it first plays the DTS audio trailer and after that the movie begins automatically. And it is the theatrical version it plays.
And when playing the movie you can't change the audio track.

I used to have the US DVD but don't anymore so I can't confirm myself if it's the same for other discs. Updated just the Scandinavian DVD.
