I also have the Optimum release so I can offer a comparison of my own:
- The Studio Canal is missing the two Renoir shorts
- The Studio Canal is a newer restoration and the PQ is noticeably better
- Even though the AR is 1.33:1, the StudioCanal is anamorphic
- The Studio Canal image has more information on all four sides (at http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDCompar ... lusion.htm it can be seen that the StudioCanal Blu-Ray has more information on all four sides compared to the three DVDs, perhaps not surprisingly the Studio Canal DVD is similar to their Blu-Ray)
- The comparison (and also the Blu-Ray comparison http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=20732) does not mention that although the main language is French, there is also some German dialogue (hence French/German in the specs above). The Optimum release provides English subtitles for the German dialogue, but the Studio Canal does not.

Searching in the db for Distributor = Studio Canal produces 1349 results, while searching for StudioCanal produces 58 results. I guess the 58 need to be corrected…
