Blood on the Sun (1945) UPDATED

Post by Brent_Reid »

The US Image DVD is region 0, not 1.

The UK Network is 93:05 and an NTSC-PAL transfer. It came out in 2009 and is an exact reissue of a 2003 disc by Matinee, which should be added separately (ASIN B0000CDUXJ). I own both.

The UK Eureka is actually the black and white version, and was also issued in a double pack with Angel and the Badman (ASIN B00004SPFS).

Most of the DVDs are actually region 0; certainly all those from the public domain/bootleg labels, who have never issued coded discs.

Suggested footnote: The film is in the public domain and most releases are from worn 8mm and 16mm prints. Only the Image and Artisan DVDs are officially licensed and have quality transfers taken from the original negative.

What is the trailer's runtime?

Both Eureka releases are black and white? Identical discs?

Maybe so, but keeping them as is to play it safe.

There's no trailer on the Network or Matinee discs.

There's just one B&W Eureka DVD, issued both singly (ASIN B00004CZIR) and in the double pack.

Fair enough but I bet anything the only region-coded DVD is the US Artisan, if that.
