At 29:48, a few frames from an earlier scene are repeated. It's when Dudley returns to the Bishop's study to file index cards; the repeated frames are of Dudley and the Professor standing outside the cathedral.

This error was quickly picked up and a replacement disc issued. But then three further errors, also in the original disc, were noticed. The disc was not corrected a second time, although the streaming version has been.

At 1:30:20, a scene of Dudley playing the harp is cut short. The tune abruptly stops on a close-up of Agnes, and Dudley gets up from playing. Originally, he plays the tune to the end and puts his hands on the harp strings to silence them, while coyly staring at Agnes.

Missing dialogue [in brackets] at 1:40:12:
Dudley: Julia?
Julia: Yes?
[Dudley: I think my work here is almost finished and I'll have to be moving along.
Julia: Oh... well, where will you be going?
Dudley: Wherever they send me.
Julia: Who are they?
Dudley: My] superior officers."

The end credits and music abruptly cut to black instead of slowly fading out.

DVDs:

The current footnote is incorrect: there is no separate Canadian release.

The German MGM was reissued by Sony with identical specs (ASIN B01MRO3135).

The Spanish MGM (ASIN B0044LWL2Q; it's on the US and UK sites) was also reissued by Sony with identical specs but it isn't listed on Amazon.

It'd be useful to get the Warner DVD and its Archive reissue listed but I can't find their exact specs; anyone?

The replacement disc corrected the repeated frames at 29:48 but none of the other faults.

Warner Home Video never released another corrected disc. The faults are not present on DVD and streaming.
