L.A. Story (1991)
---
DVD R2 United Kingdom - Momentum Pictures [2002 Release]
- believed to be uncut version - runtime 90:34 PAL (equivalent to 94:20 at 24fps)
source: I own it
---
Blu-ray B + DVD - Scandinavia - Soul Media
Blu-ray:
- confirmed as region B locked
- total runtime 91:22 at 25fps (equivalent to 95:10 at 24fps), net runtime 90:40 at 25fps (equivalent to 94:27 at 24fps) (excluding StudioCanal and Tristar logos at start)
- probably no cuts to picture, but some dialogue is re-dubbed e.g. at 79:18 - changed from "Americans kill them" to "Americans sue them" (there may possibly be other dialogue changes too, but I am not aware of any)

- on my player at least, there seems to be no way to switch off the subtitles - switching subtitles to 'Off' retains either Danish or Finnish subtitles, depending on whether I navigate from: 1 Danish -> 0 Off, or from: 4 Finnish -> 0 Off
(on other players, it may retain whichever was the last selected of the 4 subtitle options, or it may actually switch the subtitles off - I don't know).
source: I own it, and own DVD R2 United Kingdom - Momentum Pictures [2002 Release] which I used for comparison of the changed dialogue.

Short answer:
yes, optional
---
Longer answer:
To clarify, for this release:
Blu-ray B + DVD - Scandinavia - Soul Media
The subtitle issues are on the DVD only. I notice you have added "forced" for the DVD. That may well be the case, but I cannot be sure that other players exhibit the same behaviour as my Panasonic player. But personally, I am happy for you to leave it with the current update of "forced", unless anyone can shed any further light on this e.g. Åsmund.
For the Blu-ray, there are no such issues. The same subtitle options are available as for the DVD, including "Off", but on the Blu-ray, "Off" actually works i.e. switches the subtitles off (on my player at least), therefore you can add "optional".
