The Joy Sales DVD was a master from the non-remastered range (taken from DigiBeta; those were typically non-anamorphic), not the remastered range (taken from HDCAM).English-friendly DVD editions became available in Hong Kong, first as a non-anamorphic release from Universe and then as a remastered but PAL-converted anamorphic release from Joy Sales.
The export version contains the Cantonese-language song. I got the PolyGram Video VHS transferred ahead of the 88 Films Blu-ray for a few reasons; it may have been used for the English audio (the offering from the licensor was sub-par quality), but I can't confirm at the moment. Both tracks are post-dubbed, boasting clear dialogue, foley effects, and scoring, with only singer To's performance – which remains in Cantonese on the English track and possibly might not have been included in the export version – seeming like the lip-synched playback it is.

It is stated that the TG Vision is an upscale, but this might be untrue.
