Cyborg, wrong running time? ANSWERED

Post by André_Jølsen »

Hello all,

Cyborg is listed on imdb withg the running time 86 minutes.

https://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/ ... ?fid=21362

The German version "DigiDreams Studio Platinum Cult Edition"
Blu-ray:
* The Film (Director's Cut Composite) (82:33)
* The Film (VHS Workprint) (82:31)

What I don't understand is this:

DISC TWO (DVD)
Audio Commentary with director Albert Pyun (in English with optional German subtitles) (106:46 PAL)

106 minutes?
At he bottom the cuts are listed.
It does say 82 minutes, nothing about a 106 minutes version.

I am confused :)

The commentary apparently runs longer than the film. Schnitterberichte.com says “ Since Albert Pyun's audio commentary, at about 106 minutes, is significantly longer than the film, some images are shown before the film while Pyun begins to talk.”

Apparently Plaion is doing a new edition with a different scan (possibly).
