---
Title: Rock 'n' Roll High School Forever
Country: America
Region: 1 (stated on back of case, but not confirmed by me)
Releasing Studio: Lion's Gate Home Entertainment [2006]
Red Carpet Double Feature

Case Type: Keep Case
Aspect Ratio:

1.29:1 open matte
(I needed to switch my player to "16:9 full" to play it this way. Picture is slightly off centre horizontally, with a larger black bar on the right.)
OR
1.72:1 (cropped and zoomed)
(How it plays if my player is not switched to "16:9 full". On a 16:9 display, picture is full height but not full width, and is slightly off centre horizontally with a slight black bar on the left and a larger black bar on the right.)

Anamorphic?: No
PAL or NTSC?: NTSC
Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo
Subtitles: none

Cuts: No known cuts (91:26)
(Probably uncut, as the runtime almost matches that of the Shout! Studios Blu-ray (91:31), although for some reason IMDb and Blu-ray.com both report the runtime as 95min.)

Commentaries: none
Extras: none
Notes: Non-progressive transfer.
Easter Eggs: none known
Amazon ASIN: B000EHSVH8
Source: I own it

A couple of things:

1. It might be worth noting that both movies are on the same disc.

2. It also might be worth noting that, at least on some systems, for both movies the player has to be set to "16:9 full" (with the TV set to "4:3") in order to view them in 1.33:1. Otherwise they are displayed zoomed, with the top and bottom cropped off. Such releases seem to be rare, but other similar ones do exist. The only ones I know of are:

Ilsa, the Tigress of Siberia DVD
https://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/ ... p?fid=2615
on
R0 Austria - NSM Records
Ilsa die Trilogie Limited Edition

and

Silent Night, Deadly Night 3-5 DVD box set

https://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/ ... ?fid=15529
https://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/ ... ?fid=15530
all on
R1 America - Lions Gate Home Entertainment
Three-Disc Set

(Note that there are some errors on these Silent Night, Deadly Night pages, but I will submit corrections in a separate thread.)

I've seen it on the Warner Chaplin DVDs as well, which was quite annoying. Updated again
