I guess so but actually I have never done a comparison between the German and French version. I will ask the publisher about it.

Checked it myself. Yep, the French/Italian version is cut. First cut right at the beginning (left out is a part starting at 1:29 until 3:05 of the German version), but it's nothing relevant to the story.

Both these are definite 1.78:1 yes?
