Separate German and French soundtracks on the German disc. French only on the native release. Neither has any subtitles.James-Masaki_Ryan wrote:A mix of German and French together?Rafael_Kuehn wrote: German release:

Rafael, I'm finding info that the German "Evolution" disc might be a bootleg. Any information on the disc or packaging about a website or legal info?

Looking into it, there appears to be some confusion regarding this matter on internet forums. I can't find an official German site for the distributor printed on the cover sleeve, either. However, the fact that you can buy the DVD both on amazon (where I got it) and in major retail stores seems to speak against it being a bootleg, as does its having an FSK age tag which to my knowledge you can't get for an inofficial release. Last but not least, the DVD itself is properly printed, including the usual legal advice, and shows no sign of being an individually copied DVD-R, like you mostly get with bootlegs.James-Masaki_Ryan wrote:Rafael, I'm finding info that the German "Evolution" disc might be a bootleg. With the FSK I checked the ratings board and they don't seem to have a rating for "Jo" at all. The French disc is alright, but having trouble finding legitimate info on the German Evolution disc or the Crest Movies disc - strange that two companies would both be releasing the same film..

True. Only thing I know for sure, from a lot of reviews, is that the prior German release was the wrong aspect ratio, had a cut-off end credits sequence and horrible picture quality, whereas the 2014 re-release I own is good quality and complete. As to its legality I can't be certain - true, there is no detailed copyright information on the cover sleeve. But then how could they sell it via amazon and major retailers like SATURN? In any case, if you remain in doubt, then only add the authentified French release.James-Masaki_Ryan wrote:With the FSK I checked the ratings board and they don't seem to have a rating for "Jo" at all. Amazon sell lots of bootlegs unfortunately. Even in the UK and US, but especially Spain where they sell Resen discs for fun.
I work away a lot but I will reply to all PM's within a few days so please have patience!
