Enter the Dragon UPDATED

Post by baggish »

http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=650

R2 United Kingdom - Warner Home Video
Special Edition

I don't know if this is worth mentioning, but this is a two-sided disc. These extras are on side 2 of the disc:

An all-new Introduction by Linda Lee Cadwell (2:13)
Interview with Linda Lee Cadwell (17:00)
"Location: Hong Kong with Enter the Dragon" Original 1973 behind-the-scenes featurette (7:41)
"Backyard Workout with Bruce" featurette (1:55)
"Bruce Lee In His Own Words" featurette (19:22)
4 Theatrical Trailers
7 TV Spots

The An all-new Introduction by Linda Lee Cadwell is on both sides of the disc: it plays as a non-removeable introduction to the film on side 1, and is a stand-alone extra on side 2.

The "Cast & Crew biographies" are on side 1, but this extra is actually "Cast & Crew" not "Cast & Crew biographies" i.e. it is a single screen listing some of the cast and crew of the film.

The "Isolated music score in Dolby Digital 5.1" is listed as an extra, but I guess it should really be listed as a Soundtrack. If you choose this option, the film plays with music only and with no dialogue or other sounds. So, at points where there is no music, the film is silent.

Sources:
- I borrowed the DVD from the library
- http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDCompar ... dragon.htm (says this edition is "Dual sided").

I can add more info about the 4 Theatrical Trailers and the 7 TV Spots if needed.

I don't know but I'm going to guess the "R2 United Kingdom - Warner Home Video - Uncut Special Edition Limited Edition" and the "R4 Australia - Warner Home Video - Special Edition" might also be double-sided.

Also the "R2 United Kingdom - Warner Home Video - Uncut Special Edition Limited Edition" is listed as TV System: NTSC but probably it should be PAL.

Cheers!

As I know all of the single discs were flippers. I saw the US and Japanese discs were as well. Cannot say if all others were but most likely yes. Will update later.

That would be helpful.

Hi James

They are pretty much the same as on the other versions, but there are no Play All options:

Linda Lee Cadwell Interview Gallery (without Play All)
- Love and Kung Fu (0:47)
- Into Hollywood through the Back Door (0:25)
- Bringing the Classroom to the Camera (2:11)
- The Real Bruce (1:23)
- Mental Self-Defense (0:58)
- Enter the Dream (0:51)
- Planting the Seed - Growing a Film (2:30)
- Setting the New Standard (0:42)
- Incidents on the Set (5:01)
- Bruce's Influence on His Family (1:33)

4 Theatrical Trailers
- Mysterious Island (3:28)
- Champion of Champions (1:14)
- The Deadly 3 (1:41)
- Island Fortress (2:55)

7 TV Spots (without Play All)
- Roper, Williams & Lee (0:34)
- The Deadly 3 (1:04)
- The Island of Han (1:04)
- Review Spot (1:04)
- Champion of Champions (1:04)
- Fury Is Back (0:34)
- The Crown Prince of Combat (0:34)

"Cast & Crew" is actually on both sides of the disc, didn't notice that before.

There is a spelling mistake in many of the versions:
- Into Hollywood trough the Back Door ---> trough should be through

And in the bit you just added:
The film, commentary, an introduction are on SIDE A ---> an should be and

https://web.archive.org/web/20091008221 ... iew_id=877 is an Australian review (archived) that says this version is a flipper.

Cheers!
