Is 1.85:1 the correct ratio? Highly unusual for Warner.

James, you're right. Just rechecked the disc on my laptop. There're black bars on top and bottom which I didn't see when I watched it on my TV.

So, it's 1.78:1 ?

Does this apply to all Warner movies with 1.85: 1 aspect ratio?

Warner almost never releases their movies in 1.85:1 on dvd or blu for some reason and almost always reframe it to 1.78:1. But your caps show 1.85:1 so this is one of those Warner rarities.

I'm a bit confused about these two aspect ratios.

Those caps show 1.85:1. If they didn't show the top and bottom bars = 1.78:1. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks. I forgot about that post

I've been watching all the movies on my TV with the overscan mode on. I prefer it that way as the difference between 1.85 and 1.78 is negligible. That's why I never see the top and bottom bars.
