The UK and Scandinavia Blu-rays are from a 2K master; all the others are from an upscaled one.

The film is originally in English, so I don't think the (dubbed) Cantonese and Mandarin ones have much bearing.

I think all 2.0 soundtracks - English, Cantonese and Mandarin - are dual mono, but I cannot confirm. They do not sound like the 5.1 remix, which contains horrible new sound effects.

More accurately, the UK Blu-ray has English SDH - for the English soundtrack.

The 88 Films site says "stereo" for the Cantonese and Mandarin. Updated as "HoH" subtitles and the original audio as English.

The website and artwork indeed mention stereo for the Chinese tracks. However, the English is also 2.0, but dual mono and advertised as such (mono) on the artwork and website - so I can understand why there is confusion. I believe it was a matter of directly putting on the disc what was delivered from the supplier without fully analysing all 2.0 soundtracks to determine mono/stereo status. Incidentally, I prefer mono soundtracks being presented as 1.0, as it saves space and allows for an increase in quality.

You can keep as stereo; I just like to make the distinction between 'stereo' and 'dual mono' because it implies a different, potentially different/non-original mix.
