The Wizard of Oz (1939) MGM DVD UPDATED

Post by James_Armstrong »

This is regarding the MGM Home Entertainment DVD of The Wizard of Oz (1939).

The theatrical trailer's running time is actually 2:30, not 2:31.
Add the following to the notes on the DVD:
  • Was re-released in a keepcase version in 1998 with a new disc label and an 8-page booklet containing trivia, production notes, and a revealing look at the making of the film.

1 second difference in runtime can come from differing DVD players and how they read the times. Only updated about the booklet and case.

The note is wrong. It should be "Reissued in a keep case with an 8-page booklet containing trivia, production notes, and a revealing look at the making of the film."
