I contacted the BBFC about Norman J Warren's film TERROR and asked about the foot stabbing scene and they replied telling me the cut was waived for the 1997 and 2004 releases of the film
I know the BBFC have not always been informative and the last time I looked at the site it states nothing about the cut waived - its all confusing
When first released in 1978 it was 87m 9s
and video and dvd releases are 79m 24s and 79m 25s
Any help??

Re: Norman J warren's TERROR uncut
I wrote the original DVDBeaver comparison for the US and UK DVDs and the Anchor Bay was missing the foot stabbing. The US version had some additional bits in the film studio not in the UK DVD version. The US DVD and Vinegar Syndrome feature the foot stabbing. The running time is 84m. Unlike SATAN'S SLAVE, Indicator's specs do not list separate US and UK versions for TERROR so presumably the 84m cut is his approved version. The US DVDs came from Crown International's materials while the Blu-rays come from the original negative which apparently matched the American version. Presumably the footage in the 87m version might be the deleted scenes featured on the DVD and Blu-ray releases. The US VHS releases are listed as 86 mins but who knows if that is accurate (the Rhino DVD came from an old tape master which is presumably what Crown supplied to VCI/United in the eighties and that runs 84 mins).

Re: Norman J warren's TERROR uncut
I know someone said that they would be putting all the specs on this site of Norman J Warren's box set of blu rays on the Powerhouse label
None so far....
I hope TERROR is uncut!! Other films are more gory and are passed uncut
The BBFC will always be the BRITISH BOARD of FILM CENSORS to me not CLASSIFICATION

I had a reply from John@Powerhouse
TERROR is completely uncut, including the foot-stabbing close-ups. I know this for certain as I had to resync the commentary at that point, since it had originally been recorded over a cut version.
And with SATAN'S SLAVE, we are indeed offering two full-length presentations, both uncut: Norman J Warren's own preferred milder UK version, and the more graphically violent "export cut" that was made at the request of Japanese distributors.
