Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) UPDATED
The film's new 4K restoration has been issued so far in the UK, Germany and Australia (all Studio Canal). The footnotes should be amended to reflect their superior transfer.
Kino's new BD claims to have the 4K restoration, but they were sent the previous transfer in error, so it's identical to the original UK Optimum BD. There's a thread about it here. That same transfer has also been issued on BD in Spain (A Contracorriente).

The UK and German 70th AE releases in the notes state they are 4K transfers already.

Yup, but shouldn't there be a note on the Kino saying it erroneously claims to have a 4K restoration?

I don't see any info that states the Kino was supposed to be a 4K transfer. Updated with "Transfer from a 2K restoration." for the US and Optimum.

Re: Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949)
It was "confirmed" it was going to be the new 4K restoration in their pre-release publicity and by the verified "Kino Insider", who posts in the Criterion, Home Theater and Blu-ray.com forums. I don't know if it's anywhere on the packaging itself, but that info doesn't appear anywhere on the UK 4K either - though it does on the German.

Could you provide a link to the statement? Looked through the thread you linked and found nothing official.

UpdatedAlthough originally announced it would use the newer 4K restoration, Kino Lorber were mistakenly provided with the older 2K restoration.
