Re: About Time [AUS] [Universal Sony]
Meaning there are optional Arabic, Danish, Dutch, English HoH, Finnish, French, German, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish (Castilian) and Swedish subtitles for the commentary as well?Notes: Subtitles are available for both the feature and the commentary
What subtitles are available for the other extras?

Correct. There's no specific menu options for it, but if you use the menu to enable subtitles and then use the menu to enable the commentary (or vice versa), the subtitles will be for the commentary rather than for the film.
Extras all (except the music video, which has no subs) have the same subtitle options as the main feature. Again, not individually selectable but if you turn the language on in the subtitles menu, they work.

Could you double check?
This listings for the German Blu-ray which I assume is identical to the Australian Blu-ray doesn't list all those subtitles for the extras or commentary.
https://www.ofdb.de/view.php?page=fassu ... vid=382805
I also checked the UK Blu-ray I have and it checks as the same as the German Blu-ray.
Could you do a BDinfo scan of the main feature to confirm? Or for example take a screenshot of one of the Scandinavian subtitle options for one of the extras?

But what about the other subtitles? Arabic, Danish etc. Are the commentary and other extras subtitled in those languages?Matt_Bailey wrote:I played the extras and the commentary with German subs on.

I see no reason to believe it would work with German subs but not any of the other subs. You seriously want me to try every single track on every single extra?
The tracks are present, confirmed with MakeMKV. So they're either empty for some languages but not others, or they all work. I'm pretty happy saying they all work.

Yes, please. It would be incomplete to just say "Includes German subtitles and maybe others for extras." in our listing.Matt_Bailey wrote:I see no reason to believe it would work with German subs but not any of the other subs. You seriously want me to try every single track on every single extra?
So you're saying for the film there are two sets of subtitles for each language - one for the film and one for the commentary, and there are subtitles in every language for all the extras except the music video?Matt_Bailey wrote:The tracks are present, confirmed with MakeMKV. With the UK Blu-ray (which I assume is identical to Australia) has 22 sets of subtitles for the film:
13 for the film's dialogue: Arabic, Danish, Dutch, English HoH, Finnish, French, German, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish
5 for the commentary: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish
4 for captions for signs/text for the dub tracks: French, German, Italian, Spanish
Are you saying the Australian disc has more subtitles? Specifically Arabic, Danish, Dutch etc. subtitles for the commentary.
Could you take a screenshot or a BDinfo scan to confirm? Wondering if Universal updated an reauthored the disc for more subtitles.

Hmm. I'd just glanced at it, but looking closer at the tracks on the feature it does seem to match what you just said, except there's also an additional track for each of French, Italian, German and Spanish. I have no idea what they're for, enabling them doesn't seem to do anything.

Are you talking about the captions for signs/text for the dub tracks that I mentioned above? How many subtitle tracks are there for the main feature on the Australian disc?Matt_Bailey wrote:except there's also an additional track for each of French, Italian, German and Spanish. English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish, Arabic, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Spanish.
The first in each language is for the film, the second English-French-Italian-German-Spanish set is for the commentary, I have no idea what the third French-Italian-German-Spanish set is.

I pulled one, and it appears to be subs for the on-screen text (times, the theater marquee, newspaper ad for the Kate Moss exhibit, etc).
