i dont know what you mean with happy. The ending is like that. THe black guy(Benjie) is leaving the indianer camp. The indian guy is asking. Where are you going? I am going home. The indian guy is saying you are like us, you dont have a home. You are like us. THe horse with his indian girl while the indian guy is yelling .You got no home.

I would call the ending unhappy. Benjie is going home to his land but there is nothing there. The indianer is also yelling. You are not a white man and you not a indianer og you have nothing to go home you. You are like us
