Blade Runner (1982)
Man has made his match... now it's his problem!Director: Ridley Scott

Between all the 5-disc "Ultimate Collector's Edition", as they have five versions of the film, loads of extras and 5.1 audio.
There are however a few small differences between R1 and R2 UK 5-disc releases:
1. The lenticular film clip of the US edition comes with thicker plexiglas, roughly twice as thick as for the UK.
2. The pictures featuring works by Syd Mead and others are a lot larger on the US edition.
3. The smaller pictures folder of the UK edition is glued in the edges so it doesn't open up at all!. It's still got the graphics printed on the inside though.
4. The digipack looks the same but there are some subtle differences to the slipcase artwork, particularly the position of the blade runner silhouette featured on the back cover. Also, if you compare the intersecting spines you'll notice that they fold out a bit differently.
5. The letter from Ridley Scott is much larger in the US set.
Special thanks to discjunkie.se for pointing out these differences.
General notes:
The following versions or the movie are known, with the first four being considered as "official" versions:
1) The original US theatrical version, released in 1982.
This version includes the "happy ending" with a voice-over from actor Harrison Ford: both were added mainly at the request of studio executives.
2) The International theatrical version, also released in 1982.
This version also includes the "happy ending" with a voice-over from actor Harrison Ford, but adds some graphic violence. This version was previously released in Laserdisc by Criterion.
3) The Director's cut, released in 1992.
This version was partly approved by director Ridley Scott, but due the time and money constraints, is not his "definitive" Director's cut. This version removes the "happy ending" and voice-over, and adds the "unicorn" sequence.
4) The Final cut, released in 2007.
This version is the "definitive" Director's cut by Ridley Scott. It removes the "happy ending" and voice-over, adds the "unicorn" sequence and has also a few CGI tweaks.
5) The Workprint version, also released in 2007.
This version doesn't have any end credits: at the end the screen goes black for ~2:30min. Because of the amount of damage the last known copy of the workprint has sustained over the years, the overall picture quality isn't very good and a green band runs right through the middle of each frame, which is highly noticeable, particularly in the darker scenes.
