Notes:Coded R2/R4/R5.
Extras have been cut by 4:20 by the BBFC.
"Company chose to remove dialogue that gives an emphasis to violent behaviour in order for the work to achieve a PG category."
It appears that the "The Mall" featurette has been cut. -

OVERALL: R1
For being uncut, as well for the move than for the extras.
-
CUTS:
- R1 America- Sony Pictures Home Entertainment - No cuts (~91min NTSC).
-
R2 United Kingdom- Sony Pictures Home Entertainment - Yes, pre-cut before submission to the BBFC (87:15 PAL).
"This film was originally shown to the BBFC in an unfinished version. The BBFC advised the company that the film was likely to receive a '12A' classification but that the requested 'PG' certificate could be achieved by making changes to two scenes. In particular the BBFC suggested that a scene in which a man has the lid of a sun bed slammed onto him several times be reduced; and that an extended fight sequence also be reduced to remove some of the strongest blows. In this scene specifically, it was suggested that a blow to the face with a skateboard and dialogue which introduces and emphasises a headbutt be removed. When the finished version of the film was submitted these reductions had been made satisfactorily and the film was classified 'PG'."
The following has been cut:
- Paul now hits Prancer with the tanning bed roof three times instead of five.
- The scene in which Paul hits Rudolph with a skateboard has been removed.
However, the "dialogue which introduces and emphasises a headbutt", as well as the headbutt itself, were obviously meant to be cut, but are actually present. This explains why the BBFC gives a running time of 87:07, running time also written on the DVD label, while the film runs longer. That's probably a mistake by Sony.
